    A cool French movie!!!

I saw this French movie last night, dont really know the name, but a real cool one. I don't understand French, but there were subtitles displayed, so had no problem with comprehension. Been quiet a while since I last saw some good movie with some very good sense of humour. I was wondering what this movie's name is?
If anybody has access to this channel "Movie Land" in the mid-east, it was shown here. It's about some nips who try to kidnap some government diplomat (if I understood it right, missed quiet a lot initially). Jacques Chirac is also shown here. I laughed my heart out on this movie. Are a lot of French movies like this? If yes, they rule!

Yeah they (wish they) rule, all right. That was a famous French war flick about WW I, , where France is saved by the United States. Thousands of French women find out what it's like to not only sleep with a winner, but one who doesn't call her "Fraulein." Sadly, widespread use of condoms by American forces forestalls any improvement in the French bloodline.

    Classic.

    Right cheez?
    No. Wait. Don't hang up!

    This is America calling!

    i never understand french movies....
the only french movies that i understand are the ones they dubded(sp?) in french that were in english and i saw them in english b4. otherwise, if i'm trying to read the subs, i would only do that and not watch the pictures, it would be like reading the damn script...

This is slightly related to the closed thread by SAMSAM, but I wanted to say that I thought the post by Rick was hilarious, while holding a sense of truth to it...

As for the French movie thing, my friend told me, the other day, that he watched a French movie that was all in subtitles, and it was really funny. So unless it's the same movie, there probably is at least one other humorous French movie out there.

well all i ment was that i don;t watch movies with subs, it distracts me. but as for not containing any subs, i wouldn;t really know...mostly, i've seen subs in movies that come on the multicultural channels.
