Should I be in a soap opera?

    Should I?

I've been starting to hang out with the guy who runs a private video business in the area, and also runs this areas local tv station. I just got back from his studio tonight..at like, 10:30 pm - fun place to hang out. TONS OF SCREENS and DECKS, and just DAMN!!!

He wants me to be in a local soap opera. It'll have 23 minute installments if someone were to want to buy it and air it wider-scale so they could put their commercials in.

This guy's been giving me tons of tech toys, and I'm going to be getting his 36" Wega flat-screen tv from him which has all 3 major video inputs for $600 - nice guy, and apparently likes me since the tele is prices at $1,500.

Anyhow, should I do it? I'm sort of iffy..

Hmmmmm, ok, we have some joksters here.

I'm not sure if there is any payment to the people involved. I know one of the people who would be in it. Keep in mind, that this is "local" and will take place in the town the business is located in, but oviously the town will have a different name in the video. But, I'm sure there'd be a small amount of money as he said he'd pay me for looking at his computer(I pretty much do whatever he wants me to do to his computer). Since he's Mr. fancy with the toys he's got 4 people downloading crap on it. My friend downloading 600mb of music per night, a 25 year old priest downloading gigabytes of porn, etc, etc.

Well, I'll keep an eye on what he has planned with this thing and let you guys know. I do have technical college, so this might be different. Hehe.

He was encouraging me to be in it though. At first I told him, "i-dunno" because he didn't really tell me much about it - and he's a good joker. But, he kept encouraging me, "Oh sure you do..cmon!".

I'll see what happens and let ya know.

Sure, make sure to add that to your comedy or horror collection.

In march I'll be 22, one of the other people in the video is as old as your mom, if not slightly older.

    Sure, that's stalking the kiddiez.

    > If it means you get to meet women like Dione from Neighbours then HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!
It's just going to be a small group of people, and a local small expierment. Remember, he owns/runs the local television station so he has strings he can pull/expierment with airing stuff even though he has rules to obey which the city set up for him.

    > Sounds like he's buying you, what/when is the payback?
Well, I'm not concerned with money. It's not like he's Steven Spielberg and he's going to drain 2-3 years of 12 hour days out of my life. Plus, he's a friend.

Sounds like it's a win-win situation - even if you don't enjoy it much, you'll make some cash (or at the very least pick up a cheap TV) and be able to say you were in a TV show.

I wasn't joking - be careful. I can hear it now...

Guy: I'm really busy, but I promised I'd drop this off to a mate today, could you take it over there for me?
Shadow: That's right over the other side of town!
Guy: Yeah I know, sorry mate, but hell, I've done a lot for you and given you a load of things, it won't take you long.
    ...
    ...
    half hour later...
    ...
    ...

FBI: You have the right to remain silent...
    Shadow: What's going on?
FBI: Yeah, don't tell me, you had no idea the package contained heroine.
Sniffer dog: Woof woof woof woof woof.

... hell, I've always said we have too much American TV on our domestic channels, on the other hand, maybe your mate needs a budding author?
