Some stats about members of this site...

    Avg member 19.85 posts
The Standard Deveation of these avg posts in 79.66 (wow)
    The Median post is 2
    There are 921 members.
The most (Govtcheez) has 1097 posts
    210 diffrent people have 0.
    188 have 1.
And 749 have 10 or fewer.

    For all you statistics students:
    Q1 is 1.
    Q3 is 7.
That means that the middle 50% of all members have 1-7 posts. (so i guess after 2 the number of posts a person is likely to have goes way up).

Anyway...just some random things i thought you might like to know....and then probably comment on till it is dragged off to un obscure topic...ready...set...tagentize this topic! (i love making up verbs)

Actually, according to the empirical rule, won't approx 67% or so be between quartiles?

    > The most (Govtcheez) has 1097 posts

    Strange - a month ago I had over 1100...

Is that the standard deviation? Never heard just "standard" before .

    yes standard deveation...whoops hehe ...

"Actually, according to the empirical rule, won't approx 67% or so be between quartiles?"

But if I'm not mistaken (and I very well could be), doesn't this apply to only to the normal curve?

I think we're both slightly wrong...I'll look it up

Oops - my mistake... I think our curve would be a little more bottom heavy than that requires... (gimme a break - I'm only in my 2nd week of Prob&stat)

I just tried to edit a message of mine. When I clcked edit, the screen clears more or less instantly, after a second or two the logo and the "User CP" to "Home" buttons appear, then nothing. The progress bar is almost the whole way accross, and I sat with an otherwise blank screen. I finally gave up after 3 minutes. There is another thread complaining about this very same thing. It is not limited to me.
