    Warlords the computer game

Did anybody ever hear about Warlords? It is a computer game. When I'm on my computer, I generally and pretty much just program. But, there is one game, and only one game, that I like to play. It is Warlords III (Warlords I was programmed in 1989). Search it on the internet. It is the greatest strategy game in the world. I'm about to get the next one, Warlords Battlecry. This game is great! I recommend it.

I've heard of it, and have played it before. I always found the game rather boring, though. For turn-based strategy games I preferred Civilization II because of its much greater complexity. For battle-focused strategy games the I preferred Warcraft/Starcraft; the real-time aspect made it much more exciting and interesting. (I'm looking forward to the upcoming sequels of both these games, by the way, both of which are scheduled for release quite soon.)

I, personally, think that the game is the greatest.

You know, Warlords III and below is turn-based, but I was just looking at the one that I'm about to get, Warlords Battlecry, and it looks like they reverted away from turn-based. That's a little disappointing. But I'm still going to get it. Go to www.warlordsbattlecry.com I think that that's the url. If not, I'll tell you. Look at it though, I think they took away the turn-basedness of the game.

Warlords.... *dreams* oh yes, one of the games that belong to
this 'Wolf3D - Warlords - Comanche' tradition of playing games
at other peoples PCs... I loved Warlords. 1 and 2 and 3.
But it's only fun with many people and only turn based.
That makes it's flair, because for gameplay, it sucks. There are
better strategy games out there if it's just for gameplay.

But nothing can ever beat the real Warlords feeling of
Elves vs StormGiants or the decisive conquering of the
1-turn-dwarves-producing city in the middle. Man, I wish
I could have a game playing the red Orcs of Kor now
Or Horse Lords... or Dwarves... or Bane... *sigh*

    Great game !

Yeh, Warlords is great. I can't wait to get Battlecry. Was it you, DavidP, that said you can't find it? Just go to any computer game store and ask them to order it for you. Might cost a couple extra bucks, but Warlords isn't expensive to begin with.

I think the turn-based aspect is definitely great. But it's not on Battlecry. Oh well, I'm still going to get it. Great Game!

I was just looking at Warlords Battlecry again, and it is really great. This game is definitely not for you if you need awe inspiring graphics, but they are good. It has night, day, stormy and dark days. This game is going to be great! Just great.
