    Back on

    http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/interne...eut/index.html

It's nothing stupendously amazing, but it is kinda cool to think that he's finally getting back online, and it's a big enough deal that it'll be on live TV.

If I got TechTV, I'd be all over this (that and ScreenSavers is a great show to begin with)

The hacking community has been following his story for years, and i think its safe to say this won't be his first time online since his trial......

You don't think so? It'd have been a vioaltion of his probation...

When he was in jail, I read that he was in solitary for 6 months and kept away from phones because they thoguht he could blow up the coutnry with one phone call.

It was more like a year, but yea they were paranoid. Look someone as slick as mitnick was online, whether they know it or not.

I think it's a possibility that he's been online since then...in his book he references a bunch of sites and emails. I know he mentions once that someone retrieves his emails for him, but surfs the web for him? Maybe he had some sort've system set up where he'd make a query about a certain site and someone would download it onto his computer for him...

Weird - sounds like he's got some web secretary or something

Hopefully TechTV's site puts up a video of it - I'd like to see it...

The dust jacket of his book says he's been on Cout TV, 60 minutes, and headline news... It neglects to mention that it was probably as a defendant

    > hes going to make the company he works for famous.

AFAIK, he's got his own consulting firm - why would he want to work for anyone else fulltime?

Oh, he'll make plenty of money - who better to secure your systems than the media dubbed "most infamous hacker of all time" turned good?
