In this bible reference, how did Jesus heal the boy who was possesed by the deamon?
My answer: By using his programming abilities in ASM

I don't get it. Is that good or bad?... What are "ticked", "mark",
    and "thick" suppose to mean?

    LMAO

Why on earth did they give you a mark for that?

I think ticked means he got a check-mark next to it, mark meaning he got a mark for the question like 1 / 2, and thick I think refers to his dumb teachers.

I bet you they probably gave you credit for either having a funny answer or at least having something down.

I had a teacher who saw an answer on a kid's test that was so ridiculously funny that he actually gave the student credit.

Am I going to throw a "wet blanket" on this thread by asking why you didn't answer the question appropriately?

Not singling you out, face_master, because there seems to be a number of younger members who seem hell-bent on sharing their experiences with "stupid" teachers. (Okay, so I'm listening to private conversations on a "party line", if you will.)

I guess I'm a little out of touch with the affinity that some of our more youthful members have with portraying their teachers/instructors/professors as "thick/stupid/dense/ignorant/etc." to everyone here on the Board.

Perhaps, as golfinguy4 illustrates, it was a joke thrown back at you. Hard to tell, isn't it?

How did you do on the test, overall? Or, is this a "blow-off" course because it's not "programming", or something else that you're interested in?

(By the way, my kids are older than you and I've heard it before...many, many times. I didn't buy it from them, either. They still try to sell it, once in a while, but they can't keep a straight-face when they do it. )

Well, if you're referring to me in anyway to what I wrote in a different thread, then you got the wrong idea on me. For example, the English teacher and my history teach the class as a block class. The average grades in the English class are Ds and Cs, whereas in the history class the grades are an average of As and Bs. This doesn't reflect that English is harder than history either, becuase in all of my district school tests I get into the top percentatile for my English scores, yet, in my English class I have a D. Granted I'm lazy as one person could possibly be, but the teacher is so bad that it hurts my grade. In the rest of my classes I have As and Bs. Sometimes believe it or not, a teacher is not a good teacher.

last time I remember having detention was 7th grade (5 years ago, almost 6) First day of school, First week that I lived in that town... The teacher said that everyone was supposed to meet up in some park, everyone darted off before I got the chance to ask where it was so I just decided to go home. Next day I tried explaining that no one told me where to go, and everyone got all mad about that I shouldve just followed them. (like running after bikes is a hobby of mine). Ended up with me staying after school for an hour discussing why Im so irresonsible. Yeay...

I think the teacher wasn't responsible for keeping it much more organized then he/she did.

First, I wasn't referring to anyone, specifically. And, you are certainly not the only student who has a gripe with a teacher. Many, in fact, like yours, seem valid.

Of course, some teachers are lousy and should be digging ditches rather than teaching. The same is true in every field of endeavor.

I don't have a problem with people discussing lousy teachers, or lousy school experiences. In this particular case, face_master's teacher had two choices. Mark the answer correct, or incorrect. He "ticked" it and, now, is, supposedly, "thick" for doing so.

Anyone else ever had an exam question marked incorrectly. I have. (Not on an answer as blatantly incorrect as this one, I must admit. )

Just thought I would offer a different perspective...old people tend to do that.

This is my very point! That it was so blatantly incorrect, yet they still marked it as correct!

Haven't got an answer for you, face. Perhaps you simply jumped into a pile of it - deliberately - and came up smelling good, anyway.

Think of it as an early Christmas present from your teacher. (Maybe he'd rather be programming and loved your answer. Or maybe...just maybe...you really are right. Hmmmm... )
