    >How hard is it to program good games?

Depends. Typically between easy & hard.

    >How much do those projects usually cost?

Depends. Typically between nothing & really expensive.

    >How much money do you make?

Depends. Typically between nothing & loads.

    Here's a question for you:

How many lines of code do you need to write a good program?

I don't think the question should be asked like this...
It's will always depend on many factors.
So I don't think you can have a specefic answer for those question.
    none...

I understand the motivation behind that line, and would agree, that it would help the original questioner.

However there are those out there that would regard a 100 line program better than a 200 line program which did the same thing. If the long program is easier to understand/modify/maintain - the longer is better.

Point - low line count ALONE is not an indicator of quality.

Technically the question was focused on the quality of the program, not the quality of the code used to write it.

As for the origional question: It depends on what you define as a "good program"

Oh Jeez. I was joking. These questions should make it clearer:

How long is a good piece of string? What is the minimum length of a piece of string for it to be any good?

    >>how much do these cost...

If you had a bunch of good programmers and artists that didn't
need an income, you could make a game for nothing. I'm guessing
    anyway.

I can't think of any reason why some games have $10million+
    budgets.

a good piece of string is exactly 11 inches. however, a string can still be considered good as long as it is between 7 3/4 and 13 4/15 inches.

these are too easy...come on, davros, give us a hard one!

they are poking fun at your, finnepower, because your questions are very vague and there aren't any real answers to them.
