    CS in college

Next year I'm going into a computer science theory and analysis program at a university. I was wondering if anyone out there had done a similar program, if so how was it?

Yeah, it's very nice to study Computer Sciences...
BUT there are those damn univerisyt requirmentSSSSS, I hate them for many reasons: They waste your time, you don't get good grades, they are not related to Computer Sciences...

I went to a college CTI. Requirements -> Matric (grade 12). Got my diploma in computer science, and it's validated by the university of Cambridge (in Londen I think).

No, believe it or not, the University of Cambridge is in Cambridge, not London.

Cambridge College is in Cambridge MA, not University of Cambridge!

Anyways, You get more of the theory aspect out of college. If you want to achieve your full "programming potential," you really need to sit down a program as much as you can!

I wanna go to Digipen College in Washington. They teach classes targeting video game design. All math, physics, and CS classes no other waste of time classes like history.
    If A equals success, then the formula is: A = X + Y + Z, X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

A broad education is never a waste of time. The more you know, the easier it will be to learn other things. Everything in life follows certain patterns. The more you know about patterns, mathematical, historical or personal, the more you are able to see patterns and use them to your favor.

    *whistles* Yay, DigiPen.

That's not to say we don't have other classes. Freshamn in RTIS have to take english, art appreciation, and there's still general classes later on -- Just not as much as other colleges. It's more the ratio that's the kicker. Not many other colleges require on average 7 classes per semester (and some semesters, 8).

I remember reading an article about the Digipen College in Canada a long time ago.

I want to go there too, but it's expensive, and there's no room and board, right???

If you're in Michigan you want Michigan Tech for computers. Bet they're having a swell night up there tonight, ha ha.
