    Asking Questions About Homeworks

What do you think posting questions about homeworks?

I think that, people shouldn't post to ask for answers for their homeworks.
I've never posted something for my assignments, because I think it's not fair, because others might have done the assignment by their self, so they should get better grades than me.

Although I'm not totally against, posting some homework questions, but at least a person should show some work, and not post the whole assignment and ask someone to solve it for them.

    What about you?

i dont really mind, provided there is some effort put in by the person asking for help. but i cant stand it when someone posts "can someone show me how to..... blah blah?" and then not show any code, any effort, anything at all. i know that w/o this board, i would have had a lot of trouble when i first started out.

I think.. asking Questions about homeworks. and other problems.. withought making any effort to solve the programmer creats difficulties... for the programmer itself.

When someone is learning C/C++ it is fine.. to ask the specified problems in the programs after trying hard to solve by himslef/herself -- but frequently coming to this board just for posting a thread withought making any effort..(that I will get the solution here. ) really spoils the abilities...of student.

Strickly saying... This kind of attitude of a student make himself/herself helpless when solving big / Complex problems.. in higher studies or during Job.

We must strickly discourage these kind of Threads... and give him/her the hints to clear the concepts..and suggest him/her to work hard.. while replying inital stage C/C++ programming concepts.
One day you will ask what more important to you..
    I will say my life..
and You will leave me with even knowing
    that
    You are my Life (L)

i agree, i used to do that when i very first started, i'd go post for help on everything on boards. Then after a while i thought i knew my stuff, but then when i got into college i found out the hard way that i didnt really know as much as i thought. i still post for help but i mean if you need help you gotta post code, ya know, "no code, no helping hand"

I guess it doesn't matter if it's homework or not. If the poster shows effort in solving this task him/herself and has code and thoughts that make clear s/he tried, that's fine. If s/he is only dumping his/her problems here, it's going to attract the inevitable homework response

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

I think we should do all the work for these poor people

    NOT!

If there is at least some effort made, fair enough.

I agree with most everyone else, in that if there is some effort shown then it is ok to ask for help.

No you cannot. There are print and println methods.
