charles petzold's programming windows 5th edition rocks. It has some good examples of advanced api stuff. If you're simply looking for a refernce, msdn's website is the best. But i recommend petzold.
i'm aware of the msdn refrence, but having never done any windoze programming before, i want a book to start on. thanks! ;)Quote:

Another vote for Petzold's book. Easily the most comprehensive book on Win32 out there. I highly recommend it regardless of Win32 experience.
definitely petzold. or programming windows from the ground up is also good. those are the two books i have and use.
