I'm not green, I havn't even germinated
the short of it : I'm 35, changing carreers and looking forward to a life of learning in the IT field. I am however in the most preliminary stages and determined not to be shaken off this pursuit. I don't know what " C " is or if this is the best place to start learning what I should know. I'm somewhat frusterated with my inability to find a starting point for my learning. I am looking for advice on how to get started. I am going to be taking classes at my local college; however, I have a lot of time before that begins and would like to walk into class with some basic understanding and concepts in place (if not great understanding.) If anyone feels they have any good advice, lay it on me. I will be checking back and can provide further information and detail if needed.
they have provided you with great info.
some more really great places you might want to add to your favorites are howstuffworks and Ask Dr. Math for any questions and mathmatical formulas. Also I found this site which helps me remember any conversions convert-it .
I hope this helps and good luck to you. Congrats on changing jobs I have not changed jobs because of my pay but I lust for learning something new. Good luck, these people in here who have been around a while are really professional and will try they're best to help you.
I hope this helps.
