    Borland Delphi 6/Builder 6?

Is in anyone out there using Delphi 6 and/or C++ Builder 6?

If so, what's the deal with with creating Linux binaries? How does VCL compare with CLX?

I'm still using C++ Builder 5. I'm thinking about upgrading. Is is worth it? What's the deal?

I use Delphi 5 at work. Delphi is Object pascal, not C/C++. Closer to a better version of VB than C.
I believe VCL is the Borland answer to MFC (for Windows), and CLX is for Kylix, which is the Linux version of Delphi. VCL and CLX are similar, but not duplicates. Mastering Delphi 6 (or 5) by Marco Cantu is a good book. Check out his website.

Thanks for the reply, but I know this.

Delphi & C++ Builder are one and the same, but with different language front ends. They use the same component libraries, which are binary compatible.

I'm wondering whether anyone out there has used either Delphi 6 or C++ Builder 6. It doesn't matter which to me, because it's the component libraries (expecially CLX) I'm interested in. Also how well does code compile to Linux?

I don't want to read Borland's sales literature on this, because it would just tell me it's all wonderful. I was looking for the experience of someone actually using it.
