    Degree or Disargee?

I am in my senior year of high school, and now, in the first week, is when its time to plan for my future. I have been in love with the field of computers and such scince i was six. It comes a time now, i'm in Computer Science 2 in the study of C++, and although it seems complicated and large, i feel that scince i enjoy giving to others, such as programs, help, etc, that this could be an excellent career. And the possibilities of pay and expansion are endless.

I have the opportunity to apply for a "Technical computer and science related" scholarship for $10,000.00, and i am wondering if i should take it.

It seems to be in the general opinion that CS college courses suck, but this would allow me my degree in CS and allow me to take other fields as well.

So, is the Degree worth it? I feel that it is but i really would like an opinion.

Does your opinion change if i have to pay for it myself?

This totally varies from school to school! It's too general to say that CS college courses suck; in some places this is true, in others it's not.

Kind of. You see i have friends in CA and one of my close friends will be going to the Art Institute of san Fran and i kinda would like to meet some of these cali girls(haha BOOTY).

There is also FL where my mom lives. I absolutely love FL, its just i haven't decided its all so "up in the air" right now. Its probably going to come down to three factors:

    -Expense

    -Quality of the Education

    -Location(and such like this).

If i have a better chance of going right into a job in one state more then another....well you know. All opinions welcome, anyone older then me here knows how confusing senior year can be.

AHH Lifes right behind you RUNNNN.
