    ? for the Australians

Please help me settle the stupidest argument known to mankind that I am having with my girlfriend.

    1. Are Koalas mean. As in if you tried to pick up one in the wild would it attack you?

    2. Are there domesticated Koalas and do people keep them as a pet? But is it a pet that would just chill on the couch with you like a dog or cat, not one that you would have to keep in a cage.

    3. Are there incidents where you may find a Koala in your yard? And would this be considered a nuisance? Such as would they eat your plants or something like that. If so please elaborate.

    Thank you very much.

::I am so going to win this::

    I have a few...

    1) Are the budgies so thick they slow your walking speed?
    2) If you went outside with a net on the end of a long pole, could you reasonably expect to catch a budgie?
    3) Do budgies live in large flocks?
    4) Do they smell good?
    5) Do people keep them as pets?

    1. Yes koalas can be "mean" - they have bloody sharp claws. Most of the time, however, they are just drunk (due to the ecalyptus leaves that they eat which makes them intoxicated) or asleep .

    2. Most koalas live in the wild, and some are kept in Zoo's. I don't know of anyone who would want one as a pet (I think it may in fact be illegal, but I'm not sure).

    3. If you lived near a national forest, yes you may come across a koala in your tree (though you're more likely to find a possum). Koalas don't just eat anything - mostly ecalyptus leaves.

The more innocent they look the meaner they are.

Koalas are evil little bastards. They bite, scratch and ........ on you.
They carry many diseases including Clamydia.
As their diet is totally Ecalyptus leaves (no water) they have very acidic urine that they can use as a defense.
The screech one makes if you annoy it is amazing, a cross between a large cat hissing and fingers down a blackboard . There is no way that you would think they could make such a sound.

Kangaroos do make very good pets, are easily domesticated (if you get one as a joey). They will follow you round, like a dog that hops, are extremely common and very tasty on the BBQ.

Thank you. That's what I thought. My girlfriend was trying to tell me that they are everywhere down there. That you guys walk them on leashes, buy them little shirts and stuff, and oh, "They make great pets because they have hands and can use the front door so you don't have to worry about letting them outside to do their business". Geez, how gulable does she think I am

Considering connotations of that last post, considering original content of your previous post...
