An Idea on helping newbies read the FAQ
i've been thinking... yes, that time of month again
let's say:
- an account AutoMod was created
- every day a person who signed AutoMod up runs this script
- the script would use lynx (a text-mode web browser) and find questions with key words in them (like fflush(stdin) and void main())
- if the post was deemed worthy by the script's programming, AutoMod will post an automatic response, usually one of the FAQ
- if AutoMod screws up and answers a question incorrectly, a regular mod can always edit AutoMod out
what do you think? the challenge would be finding the right criteria to deem a post answer-worthy
