New Moderator

This is a discussion on New Moderator within the A Brief History of Cprogramming.com forums, part of the Community Boards category; I think it'd also be good if those nominated replied to this thread, so we know they're still active forum ...

    Err..... I'm here.. !

[EDIT]Would an existing mod please be kind enough to explain the duties of a "super mod". I see ygf is on the nominated list, and he's already a mod, so I presume super mod is another level, but what are the differences?

(and now I ain't going to get voted in because I'm asking dumb questions! )

[EDIT2]Also, I don't know what you think, but you might want to help people with the "what makes a good mod" bit, just to give people some guidelines.

When all else fails, read the instructions.
If you're posting code, use code tags:
/* insert code here */
This is just a pre-emptive thing saying don't nominate me - I'm not around enough anymore. (Not like anyone would nominate someone who lost the old elections, though )

    Nominate: Hillbillie

A moderator have moderating privileges on one board; a supermoderator has moderating privileges on every board.

    that's a good question. really.
i'm a regular moderator (i think the only regular moderator...) and i seem to have all the priviledges and rights a normal supermod has.

don't elect me, i'm already there...

a good mod won't abuse his/her powers. (see any thread with "Chris" at flashdaddee to know more detail). a good mod has a little too much free time (but not as much as maes j/k, nothing against maes).

//edit: you should also vote for a mod for his/her views on stuff...
please don't vote for a mod with an iron fist and a fast temper.

De-nominate: Troll_King (Don't think I'd EVER come back here if Troll_King was made a super-mod...how depressing would THAT be?)
...and Series, but I doubt that'd ever be a problem...

Thanks Ken, but one position at FD is enough for me. I don't visit this place enough anyway.
