    Isp

Yep! My goddamn ISP emailed me today about the FTP server i'm running, although I do commend them... it only took about a year to figure it out.

If you need assistance in preventing this in the future please do not hesitate to contact our technical support staff at the number below.

Please respond to us via email ([email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>) or via phone (1-888-345-1111) to bring this to a resolution as soon as possible.

I understand that many of you are running personal webservers... would anyone be willing to host the eBooks? I could always look for a freeserver, but that's no fun

How would my ISP go about finding out i'm running an FTP server anyway? Monitoring the port I guess, or someone tipped them off I figure I can start it back up again in a little while on a different port.

I don't have a ftp server up but I could probably put them in a folder on my web server for the time being (http access beats nothing). How much data do you have? I tried to get it from your ftp but you seem to have taken it down already. I'm not sure I'm even allowed to run a server either but I probably have a while before the ISP catches on. Mine has only been up for a few weeks.

Correct me if I'm wrong (you probably will ) but aren't portscans illegal, even for ISP's

When ISP's draft the terms of service you can guarantee that they will be allowed to do whatever they want...
