    petition to convert the universe to hexadecimal...

    i was reading the thread about fishes, and about adding a 'i'... and i rememberd how in the seventh grade i had a petition to convert the world to hexadecimal... i only got a few signatures... [i didn't have too many tech friends... , let alone anyone who know what hex was...] so... i extend this on to you...

    Decimal is base 10 right?

    So we count.

    0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

    Hexadecimal is base 16:

    0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B C D E F

    FWIW....

    Binary is base 2:

    0 1

    Octal is base 8:

    What base is our alphabet written in? How would you
    translate Chinese to hex? Yeah, it's a good idea, da.
    I like it. Simplifies things. Write up an rfc, submit it to the
    board here, and then send it to the iso people. You'll be
    famous, pal, and I'll be able to tell all my (1) friends that I
    once knew you.

    I won't do it anymore if it annoys you, but I thought it was pretty easy to work out
