    New Moderators

Ok....New Moderators seems to be a hot topic...so here's what's going to happen. On this thread please nominate and or second the people you would like to really see as mod, ie would do a good job. Please put nothing else on your post besides:

Nominate some guy or second some guy.

Nominations and seconds will take place until the site is moved to the new server.

If you are not nominated and still want to be a mod you will be asked to write a 300 word essay about why you should be moderator and how a mod should act. (Yes we do have a sick sense of humor here at mod central).

From there the nominations and essay writers (that the webmaster chooses) will be put up to a vote.

The only rules that should be stressed at this time is that we ask that there is no backscratching or logrolling. We want this to be fair and in occordance of who the people on this site think will be the BEST mods (not nessicarily the funniest).

If there are any questions at all please feel free to e-mail me at kermi3@cprogramming.com

    Thanks all

I think the moderators did a good job back on the old board

    Sunlight
    ( vanished... I think he'd make a good moderator, but... )

    Salem
( Definetly. Moderator. Nothing else will suffice )

    lightatdawn
    ( good mod... and he's back )

    Kermi3
( never seen you, but somebody must be the 'behind the scenes' guy )

    adrianxw
( Definetly. Moderator. Nothing else will suffice )

    (nv)
    ( myself. no comment. )

Also, I think Govtcheez (sp?) would make a good moderator, too.

    Edited for easier reading:

    Nominated: Salem
    Nominated: adrianxw
    Nominated: lightatdawn
    Nominated: govtcheez

I would like to take a second turn as a moderator, too
but that's up to the other folks to decide.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

    Format

I'm happy with everyone one's enthuisasum about diffrent moderators and people who have done good jobs. However I've got to read through all of these later and there will be many. So for my sanity please let me reiderate the format of the posts that one should aspiire to have on this thread. Your post try to should look similar to this (with nothing else if possible):

    Nominate: blah
    Nominate: quux
    Nominate: baaz
    Second: foo

If you wish to comment on someone let me suggest that someone open up a new thread for that purpose. Also please do me the favor that if you see someone already seconded don't post them again.

If there are any questions at all please feel free to e-mail me at kermi3@cprogramming.com

    Thank you all

    Kermi3

I'm trying soooooo hard to stay sane!

Unfortuneately sunlight has gone..... dont see much point in nominating someone who is never here..... pretty much the same could go for lightatdawn.

Personally I think the moderators should be people who are both knowledgeable about c/c++ programming and regular visitors to the forum.
