dear koshare im not saying you are wrong im just saying youve left bits out eg, why did israel get invaded by 5 arab states? because it invaded them first and took land from them :

    for example check this map
    http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/middl...a/golan_92.jpg
notice the golan heights are syrian yet have been occupied by israel...
the truth is that israel after its creation was warlike , and invaded jordan egypt and syria , read about it anywhere ...

    finally you state:
"it is bad when a nationality that has around 300 million members doesnt have its own country, and when it wants its own country the size of New Jersey, in a land where the majority of it is already Jewish it is too bad. "
well true, but Pallestine was arab and at first contained mostly arabs , so what gave anyone the right to just take away a peoples country and create one for someone else.

and finally if you get your information from Israel.com dont you expect to get a biased view ...? look for other less one-sided sources of information ...

another thing i dont understand is why some sources leave stuff out ... for example as i have already stated

    "29 Oct 1956 - 1957 Israel occupies Sinai peninsula. "
which was egyptian, then i read at

    http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/myths/mf8.html

"As early as July 1, 1967, Egypt began shelling Israeli positions near the Suez Canal" yet this was after Israel had waged war on them and taken the Sinai peninsual , so there you have the reason for the shelling , they want what was theres back, yet this sources completely ignore this fact...

    ------------------------
"The Israeli death toll between June 15, 1967, and August 8, 1970, was 1,424 soldiers and more than 100 civilians."
    and
"The death toll for the year-old Palestinian Intifada (uprising) against Israeli occupation now stands at 883, including 708 Palestinians and 175 Israelis."

war is such a stupid thing... it leads nowhere

Isreal has been the home of the jews for 6000 years. It is one of the oldest continually occupied places in the world. The make up of the parts of Isreal that were formed where mostly Jewish at the time.
"and finally if you get your information from Israel.com dont you expect to get a biased view ...? look for other less one-sided sources of information "

Like i said before, ONE day after the nation of isreal was formed it was attacked, now if isreal was mostly Arab at the time wouldnt they have lost?

How can that be biased? everything is biased, either Too little or too much for one side. The website you provided a link to was also HEAVILY biased, so please do not make empty accusations.

Isreal had a terrorist attack yesterday, the day before, etc They have over 100 attacks a year on average. So if they attack a country harboring terrorists i look the other way.

"the truth is that israel after its creation was warlike , and invaded jordan egypt and syria , read about it anywhere "

considering the fact that isreal was attacked by them or allies of them the day after they were formed no wonder.

It really doesnt matter who is right and wrong, just who is left standing, respect isreals right to survive please.

of course i respect the israels right to survive but i also respect the palestinians right to survive ....

"The death toll for the year-old Palestinian Intifada (uprising) against Israeli occupation now stands at 883, including 708 Palestinians and 175 Israelis."
i find this information most disturbing considering it is only in one year and most of the 708 palestinians were innocent unarmed children throwing rocks at israeli troops and tanks.

i think its right to try to give hebrews a national state and i wouldnt have any complaint if it was done peacefully but you have only to look to cnn.com to see that is not the case ...
    http://europe.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/mea...ths/index.html

and if the israeli army says it is to irradicate terrorists... well to flush out a few is it right to bring pain and suffering to the innocent?

I live in a free country. We have many religions here not just one. It is a melting pot of ethnicities and things are peaceful. Our citizens aren't even armed. I use a mouthpiece to type. I type with my tounge.

I can see that happening in the future, when enough of them feel the need and seen enough suffering and realize how to get out of it. True that the religion is the one behind the whole mess and if they see thru it, they can come to peace. Its not impossible but it would take a while, lots more dead, lots more hurt.

Some people seem to doubt this for some unknown reason. I dont understand that. And they ridicule others who see that peace is possible. If it werent for people that hope for peace and fight for it(in a nonviolent way) then we wouldnt be here.

I think in this whole thread, that was the only post made by Witch_King that I agree with and respect.
    Its all in your mind...

"and if the israeli army says it is to irradicate terrorists... well to flush out a few is it right to bring pain and suffering to the innocent?"

Actually, America and other countries arnet nearly as precise with keeping civilians alive. Isreal has invaded towns without a single civilian casualty.

The war you talk about excludes the amount of people dying in bombings, just 4 or 5 days ago 20 people where killed by a car bomb, yesterday a sniper opened fire on an Isrealie church.Such a noble enemy the Isrealies fight(*BLATANT SARCASM*).

this is very close to home, one of my friends goes yearly
to Isreal, and the hotel he planned on staying at was bombed, One week before he got there.

MechanicX, get a clue, I dont plan on being an Imorale robotic drone like some people would like to be. Consider this, more people are Christian Jewish Mormon or Muslim than are Atheists. These 4 religions originated from Zionism.

I am sick of the idea "Everything must be different for it to be better". I do not fear death in the slightest, unlike most atheists, I never have feared death, and when I became Christian I did it because of some "things" that I read in the bible. If you read the Bible, look at some parts of it in a humorous way(trumpets blowing down citys, Jesus feeding 2000 people with a fish and a piece of bread, etc) and others in a serious way (Jesus dying, Jews enslaved for 400 years, the battle in the middle of the desert, were only 100 Jews died, 10,000 arabs).

"And they ridicule others who see that peace is possible."

peace? who is their to have peace with? Explain to me how it would be possible to say "Ok, you keep bin laden, no no, we will pull out of the middle east and destroy the world economy, oh, while we are at it kill a few more of our civilians will yah?"

I am sick of "enlightend" liberal types who believe that opinion and diversity is good, but religion is bad. I am sick of these people that believe peace is the only answer at all times, as an athiest you fear death, as a christian I dont and am ready to fight and die for civilians of my country, and most christian/Democracy/Jewish nations.

Everyone except false profets and murderers go to Heaven, so anybody that tells you otherwise is lying. When you are born your name is written into the lambs book of life, if you kill out of lust, greed, etc. then you go to hell. If a country were to say that they believe in God, attack another country for money, the soldiers are not responsible, only the leaders.

now, answer me this, did the universe exist forever? if the universe existed forever then matter would be inert and mostly non-existant. If the Universe existed forever the big bang would have happened infinetly earlier then it did.

anyways this thread is getting old, Isreal did bad, Everyone did bad. But, Isreal has the power to take a good 1/3 of the middle east (they do produce their own weapons and fighter jets you know, every hear of the Uzi or C7?).

Read the bible- the palestinan-Isreal conflict has been going on since the time of David. and Muslims were not around then...

No, I don't want to go to war for no reason. That's what I see religious wars being about. I have the 30 volume Hebrew/English Talmud, at least 30 volumes of the Christian Protestant Martin Luthers commentaries, 28 or so volumes of the 'interpretation' series on the Jewish/Christian bible, the Koran, about 4-5 versions of the Christain Bible, and God knows what else, actually a few more commentaries. These are books that contain wisdom literature. I infact intend to use some of these books as a means to research for the novel that I'm writing. I very much enjoy wisdom literature and in so much I respect all religions.

Yes I have several series on the Crusades, etc. I have not read them though! I have way too many books. Yet I know that these battles were about land and religion. If anything I look at books like that, I look at my nice home, and I say I never want to go to war. I happen to want to live. Life is good.

    <

Religion was only a means and an excuse in the crusades.

    to other points.

the Christians,Musilms, and Jews live in peace in Isreal, I don't see why every one blames everything on the religion when in truth it was only used as a tool for men's ambition, the True believers of these religions do none of these things.
