If you talk in terms of GDP, then China should surpass us by 2025......

Also I hate Israel. i want to see the place nuked. I don't care about any of those people, they are all insane. I don't help any of them!
Witch_King go to your local library - borrow the following:

The Bible
The Qur'an
10 Books on WWI
10 Books on WWII
10 Books on Israels political history
Once you actually feel you have a grasping of the history of the balkans and the middle east, come back. Then I'll have a serious discussion with you. Otherwise you can take your ignorant attitude and shove it up your ****ing ***

Next term I have to take a course on the cold war. I know a little more about those places than I lead people to believe. I also own a library. I have at least 40 or more books on those subjects. Right now they are packed though because I'm moving into a new house this week. Have to paint the upstairs ceilings and walls on Sunday and Monday.

The point I'm trying to make however, is that I don't want to know about these places because there is no need for the bull**** that is going on in those places for the last 30 years. We live in a civilized world, at least I do. It would be great if the rest of the world could join us and treat religion as a personal freedom rather than an insane war and instrument of destruction. I could care less who owns Israel. That would be great if that section of earth fell off into the ocean and became submerged. It's a big mistake to become involved with that. I step away from it or else if I want to understand what is going on there than I privately study that information. That country should grow up. Arabs should grow up. There are plenty of tools and education available now in the world that we do not need to babysit a nation or a race of people. I don't see why they can't pick up like the Japaneese and take their share of benefits. Religion should be abolished if it is going to be that much of a problem. They should take their bibles away from them. It's too dangerous and they can't handle it. Not yet anyway.

    >> Any fool can blame religion for the world's problems

I agree. Who is doing this?

    >>any fool can codemn those whose beliefs they do not understand.

Once again agreement... but I would say, a fool "will" not "can"

    >> and fool can complain about religion causing wars

I suppose you mean any fool... and is somebody complaining besides you?

I guess you couldn't make it more apparent that you have substantiated proof that I am doing 'such things' because of my previous post. I guess I don't see your mindset.... especially since my post is down the middle. I said land and money are not the only reasons war is started.... and I also said religion/beliefs are not the only reasons war is started. I then stated proofs of this and even attempted to show that a little of each go hand in hand for many wars. Then I even stated that you don't always fight for the above mentioned... you may just fight for your life.

So, let me tell you something else about fools that I didn't learn from Ben. They tend to take a side so strongly that they are blinded to all other possibilities. Also, due to a great desire for self-worth, they tend to think they are never wrong...

Of course... I may be wrong about that.

But on a more personal note... what the hell is up your a$$ today? I didn't do anything to you to warrant these facetious remarks. You are definitely on my bad list for the moment until you explain your comments...

About what? The way I see it is that these countries are hurting themselves. When they struck the USA they hurt the world because the real issues that we should be concerned about are commerce, space exploration, and human rights and freedoms. At this stage the USA is the workhorse for most of this. Iraq should be trying to contribute to the international space station, so shoudl Afghanistan and the middle east. We should be designing nuclear weapons to protect the earth from asteroids. A better way needs to be developed so that we can run our vechiels without destroying the environment. Population needs to be controlled so that all coutries can have a higher standard of living. This war accomplishes nothing. There are no winners. War is about dying.

The USA was investing in stem cell research. I don't know if that will get much funding any more. Maybe Canada can take that up, maybe Europe. It looks like the USA has it's hands full now. All that medicine would have traveled to the Middle East, we would have all benefited from it.

Look WK I agree in general with what you are saying, so I'm not attacking your arguement about how the world should focus on the greater things other than futile arguments. But as I said earlier this is a war between the haves and the have-nots. America has power, money, freedom. The terrorists who attacked the US were motivated by the notion that the US does not deserve these things.

I get annoyed when people jump on the "I hate religion cause I think it starts wars" bandwagon. Yeah sure, religion is a part of society, but not the cause of all of our problems. It's like those who say "money is the root of all evil". Money is just money. Peoples greed drives them to comit to acts to get money, people put such a high value on money, but you don't have to be that way if you don't want to.

I've made the point before that a driving force of war is about wealth.

It was the historian Weber who said class distinction is based on wealth, power, and prestige. These things are not eternally true because they are not actually true. And it is difficult to understand why an adult would carry this point of view unless he enjoyed something else entirely. Bin Laden had every chance. We know who he is a criminal. This is a way to convert young people to hate something because they don't know themselves.

Well the simple answer to this, is that itis just a matter of time before the Middle East has all the tools and technology of North America and Europe. Religion will still be a problem at this point and unfortunately human logic is flawed. It can not see far enough into the future. Empathy requires experience, it needs to be applied and therefore there is no refuge in religion. We can't learn how to be a certain way by reading a book about how to behave. We actually have to phisically make mistakes and learn that way instead. It's just literature. It's enriching but also dangerous to humans. That imagination evolved so that we could use tools. That's all. We can't let the imagination lead us to believe in things that are not real else we'll create a false image. That's abusing your imagination.

The way to solve the problem is physical. The thing is that everybody knows it. If we don't stop the terrorists and let the good people get to work and build their countries than well be falling behind schedule trying to save the earth from all the bad things that are happening to it on an exponential rate.

I always figured that man would destroy himself but not on purpose. I didn't think that man would destroy himself on purpose in my lifetime. The religious afterlife is now. Nobody knows what happens when you die. You have not even felt that yet. How can you relate to it?

the problem now (and is unfortunately evident in some posts here) is that muslim people are being blamed and called terrorists by the acts of a small group of people. In america thousands of murders/crimes/mass suisides/acts of discrimation occur... and yet everyone keeps saying "the land of the free..." my ass...

the middle east has problems/america has problems/even little greece has **** loads of problems.. so should we kill all the innocents and destroy the coutries?? of course not.

it all started because of Englands colonisation of coutries it had nothing to do with (india, america, australia, pallestine and many many more) They taxed the locals , enslaved them and tried to impose thier ideas/culture/beliefs on them.

then englandshrank.. it was battered to pieces by WWII

as america rose up it also started putting its nose into other countries buisness and used lame excuses to back it (such as invading Vietnam... who gives if a country is communist?!)

everyone should start looking at both sides of the argument... its about time the world wisened up to what americas imperialistic ideas have done to parts of the world. Even little greece has got some affects. the american weaponss droped in Yugoslavia contained nuclear waste (supposidly to improve them) has started contaminating the water supplys here aswell!!!

The terrorists declared war on the US. If the USA wants to drop nuclear material on you it doesn't have to ask. Thus far it has not used nuclear weapons, only ballistic weapons. If it decides to use weapons of mass destruction than you will know it. It doesn't appear that they are going to do that however unless the terrorists strike with chemical weapons. The USA may have more than enough nuclear weapons that if they detonated all or even a few of their weapons right in North America, the whole world would still be destroyed. How do you fight that? I don't think the USA wants to destroy the world for the sake of a minority that doesn't want to get along with the rest. The threat has to be eliminated though. I wish we could stick you guys on pluto.

    >>From your name I can tell that you are a religious fundamentalist terrorist from Afghanistan. Were you the one who told Bin Laden to leave? What did he say? Did he spit in your face?

Religion has lead the Afghans to put their women in slavery. Did you beat your wife today?
