    getSelectedIndex() in Java

    Again, I'm sorry for posting Java questions, but this is going to be the last one for a long while. If I use the getSelectedIndex() function for choice lists, and someone selected the first item on the list, does it return 0, or 1? Thanks in advance if you can help.
