    World Cup Soccer

I'm glad that the best team won. The Brazillians are clearly the superior team in every way imaginable. That is why they are the champions. Congratulations!

I don't think the best team won. The bunch of best single players won.

They were that too, thanks for pointing that out. Not only were the Brazillians the best team, they also had the most popular superstars. I take my hat off to them.

The root is socks, which is realted to the big long socks that the players wear.

    Every1 knows it.

Stupid goalkeeper lost it for england..yes yes the old pony tailed git, when we had Nigel the man Martyn on the bench(the real#1).

People still believe brazil are the same sort of team from the era of Pele....they are insane.

The final was between England and brazil............

Hey, I was looking for you Mr. Mystic Meg after the England Brazil game, where were you hiding

Yeah you could say that, He didn't know what hit him.

IMHO all this Brazil bashing should stop. If they suck so much then they really wouldn't have won the cup and the title.

Brazil don't deserved to bring the coveted throphy home.... A collection of the world's finest individual players doesn't neccessarily make up a great team.

A great team is a team with team-spirit... Like the South Koreans, Senegal, Turkey and Japan...

Even England don't have that winning appetite showed in the way they're playing.

But at least 2 of the world's soccer superpower were in the WC final. I can't imagine how would it be if the final were to be South Korea-Turkey...

My definition of a good player is: a player who is individually good, but who can also play good as a team-player. The Brasilian are individually good, but as a team they are not so good. Therefore I think the Brasilian players are not good.

    >>> A great team is a team with team-spirit... Like.. Senegal,

I think The Senegalese team also consisted of a relatively poorly disciplined collection of very taleanted players. As almost all of their players play in countries scattered around the world and their annual sport budget does not allow for "team" training, it is inevitable that this will happen. I think a well organised African team would be an awesome prospect.

Crap. If the individualists played good team football, then they would be winning 10:0 rather than 3:0. A collection of good individualists has done well more times then many of the heavy "teams" - lesson to be learned?
