Did anyone check the Germany-Ireland match... ??

WOW what an end to the game. couldn't believe it.

First Bayern in Champions League and now this, though it is not that bad as what happened to Munich but then still what happens to the Germans in the dying minutes

Yeah the US-Portugal match. Another upset, though they were quite lucky to get away with the offside goal : the Jorge Costa own goal. but otherwise they played really well.

Yeah I know what you mean. I think they showed that they have some offense, going up 3 - 0, but I think it will be interesting to see how the defense holds up as the cup continues.

Yep, I'm very curious too. Hoping will see some more wonderful goals, I go for 3 (arg) - 2 (eng).

National holiday in Denmark today so I saw all todays games, (typical, we play tomorrow).

Ireland/Germany - good result, in no way were the Irish outplayed, they had a good few chances but failed to capitalise, the Germans also. - One of the better games actually.

US/Portugal - that second US goal was just so bizarre! What the keeper thought he was doing with his "clearance"! and then the offside!!! and then the deflection!!!!! The US actually played better then I expected, I thought the Portuguese would stuff them. Based on todays performance, I can't see either side troubling the heavies though.

Russia/Tunisia - both played poorly. Russia are a better side than this, and we played Tunisia in the warm ups, and know that they are capable of more. Poor game. Anyone else notice the big Tunisian flag behind the goal was upside down?

    Looking forward to tomorrow Denmark/Senegal.

Expecting some interesting riots in Arg-Eng
I go to encounter for the millionth time the reality of experience and to forge in the smithy of my soul the uncreated conscience of my race.

Windows XP consists of 32 bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprocessor, written by a 2 bit company, that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

That was not the same Uraguay that beat Australia 3:0 in Uraguay to qualify.

Seemed to be the same France we drew 0:0 here with.

We played Uruguay in our first match, (Denmark 2 - Uruguay 1). They have some damn fine individual ball skills actually, but seemed very undisciplined. After our disappointing showing against Senegal, (1:1), the group looks very interesting. Some of the Senegalese players are terriffically skilled, but again, the team lacks cohesion.

France's future in the competition depends on the our game with them Tuesday. I think, looking at the rules, they must beat us by 3 goals to get above us - then it all depends on Uruguay/Senegal - and frankly, I fancy Senegal in that game.

    >>We played Uruguay in our first match

Watched that one. (As it could have been Aust's first game in the WC for 28 years)

I don't see yesterdays France beating Denmark by two / three to get in (and so France may go home without a goal in the world cup).

Interesting if Senagal looses to Uraguay (and France wins).
