The comedy between spock and the doctor is too good. Also scotty is funny as hell. I remember in one of the episodes where scotty says, 'That Klingon ***** killed her father', LMAO.

This is especially funny because if you observe the serious tone of Startrek I and II, and compare it to subsequent episodes you really notice a difference. In the later shows they begin to swear freely. There are hundreds of hilarious scenes. I laughed a lot more at startrek.

Star Trek blows Star Wars away. I've watched it
for so long, it's hard to imagine life without it.
I almost cried during the series finale of Voyager.

I've never been a big fan of the old series, and
that's probably because I didn't see it until well
after I started watching TNG. When you see a 2nd-
generation Klingon before a Klingon from the
    original series...something is screwy. They
don't have their cranial ridges, and it's never
explained how they got them. In the DSN-Tribble
episode, Warf says it's something they don't
    discuss with outsiders...

Not to mention the deep, political metaphor that
is Star Trek. Roddenberry was obviously not a fan
of Capitalism. You can see it in how he created
the Star Trek universe. Capitalism is depicted
by the Ferengi. The greedy, do-anything-for-profit,
ugly, little aliens. Earth (America) seems to have
evolved from a Capitalist ecomony, to a Communist
Utopia in TNG. It's really very interesting.

"A lot has changed in the last 300 years. People
are no longer obsessed with the acquisition of
'things'. We have eliminated hunger, want, the
need for possessions. We've grown out of our
    infancy."
-Captain Picard. Politics of Star Trek

    It's a great franchise and I can't wait until
Wednesday when the new series, "Enterprise,"
premiers. It's kind of sad to know that we'll
probably never see a Borg in this series, but
    it still looks interesting.

So far, Star Wars is in the leed (rightfully so--not to take any sides or anything).

I prefer the Star Wars movies to the Star Trek movies.

I prefer the Star Trek television shows to the Star Wars television shows.

I am very, very much looking forward to the premiere of Enterprise tonight.

During Angel the other night I saw the latest trailer for LOTR. It had me literally shaking w/anticipation and the hair was standing on the back of my neck. It will be Awesome.

I'm holding out for that little baby too. Just hope its not a letdown. After being a fan of the books, I would be suprised if that was the case though.

J.R.R Tolkien + Peter Jackson (a New Zealander) = Brilliant.

Don't see how these movies could possibly be bad. Everyone who's read the book(s) will have their own ideas about how it should look but I reckon Jackson'll do a pretty good job of pleasing most people.

Why don't you go to the website: www.lordoftherings.net

There is something like 1 hr of Media Player interviews with Peter Jackson as well as tons of other stuff including all the trailers, etc. This website is something like the 3rd most popular in the world. Or at least I heard something to that effect.

I'm currently downloading that new trailer. It's taking about 10 minutes to download and I have a cable modem, although I did choose the full screen download. In about 10 minutes I'll edit this reply and give my critique.

    Holy ****, it's ****ing awesome!

Did you watch it? I thought it was pretty good.
But, what the heck is up with the Klingons? This
takes place pre-Kirk. Did the writers forget
what the Klingons looked like back then? Even
    Warf acknowledges the differences between
    past and present Klingons.

Yes, I realize that this probably was intentional.
The old Klingons were not intimidating...

Ooh, I wonder if the Klingons will be the Borg/
    Dominion of this series.
