oh yeah, i forgot the repetitive strain injury in my right hand !!

i think its due to mouse clicking, can't think of any other reason.

I know this isn't a programming injury, but it's still funny.
This guy (he posted this on a gaming board) lost really bad and he hit the table, that his computer was on, with his fist, it was a glass table.

RSI and carpel tunnel in both wrists. Owchie!
However I was compensated after that with a very nice MS Natural Keyboard Pro. So I'm happy!

    Not forgetting stress and brain-strain.

This is not so much an injury caused by the computer as exemplified by it, but when I was picking up a table, the leaf fell out and fell ab out 3 feet and landed on my left great toe. OUCH

It got funky colors, the nail came off, but I had a blood boil under the nail before that. So it hurt to have my foot below my knee. This led to some interesting finegaling of the positions of my legs while I was using it.

It never occured to me that a hiatus was in order.

Does "left hand surfing" counts? That's computer related, j/k......I am right handed BTW........I don' t know I think the biggest thing has got to be my eyes. Not really just programming, but more computers in general.

I use my right hand for my mouse index for left button middle for wheel and that other one [cant remember its name in between little and middle] for right button

I use all my fingers for typing [i use my little finger on my left hand for shift and tabs and control and backslash and on my right hand for shift and enter and the arrow keys] i use my thumbs for pressing space [mainly my left hand thumb but i often find myself doing space with my right hand thumb]. I use the numbers above the letter keys for doing numbers [my laptops numpad is awkward and i have got used to using the top row of numbers its kinda slow but what are you gonna do]

according to typingtest.com's little test I have a typing speed of 109 WPM which I think is a load of crap.

once my computer said it was giving me a virus and re-formatting my disk(a sick joke) in a windows-error type message(blue background). Since my power button works only to turn on the computer(this is my old one, mind you), I was forced to pull the plug because the power surge was too far away or somthing. I got elertricuted and sort of conked out. When i woke up my hair was in every direction(True story!).

Oh yeah. That's always fun. It's quite an experience getting an electric shock (not necessarily pleasant but certainally interesting). I plugged my machine in after it's migration from my room to my study and I was touching the pins (yes, I know.. D'uh)...and well... *BZZZ*.

I certainally travelled a little way backwards and was a little dazed. I was described after as resembling a flaming cabbage with my hair the way it was.

its that one screensaver from linux, where it shows pretend error messages for every operating system, but it was ported to windows. I dont know why I thought it was real...it was the first time I had the screensaver enabled when i left and came back into the room.

I prefer the matrix screensaver. Or the sliding tiles one, or the penguin in the rocket.
