I think you should grow up.
All spelling mistakes, syntatical errors and stupid comments are intentional.

Don't you think it would be a bit hard for someone outside of the States to make clear cut statements about it?
Unless they've spent some considerable amount of time there to get a clear view... but then again, the US is a *large* country. It would be extremely inconsiderate and stupid to try and generalise it .

I know little about the states except that I here in the news and hearsay and of course, the infamous stereotype. My family is quite conservative and is, I'm sad to say, quite anti-american. I've yet to discover any rational reason for this but, to make a point, there is not point in irrational comments. eg. the title of this thread.

I lived in Sweden for 25 years and been traveling europe alot. I been living in USA for 6 years and been traveling this country alot. Ordinary people are pretty much the same no matter where you go in the world. We mostly share the same dreams and goals and fundamental needs. Americans can be alittle bit carried away with there nationalism and "me" mentality. There religous dependency can be alittle bit to much for me to handle from time to time. But I claim that Europe and Europeens have just as bad habbits as anyone else, just different bad habbits.

Your just asking for a flame war!

I do have some anti-US feelings, yet in the past few months i've been continually arguing the American view point. (with a few exceptions)

I think one of the greatest problems in our world today is nationalism, and the USA is pretty nationalistic (or atleast thats the impression non-US types get).

One of the things that I have noticed is that when the question of "why do they <insert question> like that in America"?, the general reaction of our Stateside cousins is on the defensive.

Certainly in my own case, the question is asked from curiousity, and not from an attempt to say the American way is worse / better etc.

    Just an observation.

(BTW, given the chance, I would move to the States tomorrow. The UK is becoming (IMO) increasingly restrictive in terms of small business etc. to the point where I think anyone would be crazy to consider a startup business in the UK at present).

Muttski, You need to see both sides first hand. I have lived in socialist countries since I was born. The entire country acts disguntingly immoral, unless for some sick reason you like that, and the school program just stinks - . When I was eleven I moved to America. It is AWESOME. I can become anything I want. I'm not limited to a polytechnic level ecuation - the equivalent of HIGH SCHOOL here - I can go to the World's best universities and get a PhD in something if I wanted to. Borjor's right - people are the same - the thing is, the country isn't. Unless you can prove you've experienced both, you should just shut your mouth and go back to sucking up to that lying, greedy, immoral family from whom comes the "lady" you call Queen. If you don't like it, stay out of it - we're entitled to freedom.

"I have lived in socialist countries since I was born. The entire country acts disguntingly immoral"

    That is an insane generalisation.

"you should just shut your mouth and go back to sucking up to that lying, greedy, immoral family from whom comes the "lady" you call Queen"

.......... were you reffering to England as one of those "socialist countries" that act "disgustingly immoral"????

This is EXACTLY the kind of responce that demonstrates why nationalism is a bad idea.
