Windows XP is not open source. How would you know what you are putting on your computer? Trust them? Trust Microsoft?

    No thanks.

Ignoring the fact that this is a blatant troll, ß, did you read all the source of Linux before you installed it?

that is a good point. I was just thinking of that because for all he knows, there could be a few bytes in the linux kernel that logs your every move and sends them somewhere...

wouldn't it have to be assembly if you rewrote it because you wouldn't have an os to interpret the java. also the kernel would be huge in size

    It was a troll, ober.

But I'd never touch Windows XP, I need some space on my hard drive for data other than the operating system.

oh... i didn't realize you only had an 2 Gb HD...

Who in their right mind would have anything less than 20 Gb these days? That's more than enough and then some... (unless you're a fiend like me and need tons of music and games... )
