Staying away from General.
1024X768 - Any higher and the screen gets distorted. Any lower and it's ugly...

1280X1024 at home.. I like real estate to work with... and I usually run 1152x768 or close to that with games. But then again, I have a sweet 19" monitor and a sweet video card.
oh... and in case you were wondering... that was a sad cry for bragging rights... I'm such a nerd with a competitive edge when it comes to this stuff....
oh, and one more thing... Static made a comment about how his website was "the best on the web"... or some BS like that... sorry dude, but my mom could write a better site than that. I would run circles around you.
1024x768 is what I use right now.
I was running on 800x600 but higher resolutions make
you feel your screen is larger which is good.
1024x768 - past that all the words get too small (I know there's a way to change that...) and below it everything's too big and cluttered.

1280x1024. Sometimes I need a little less so I use 1024x768. Any lower than that and I think it is rather ugly.
