    IE and WE

    A couple questions and/or statements:

In Internet Explorer 6 I like to have the status bar on...but IE constantly turns it off...any way to have it default set on?

And kind of the same thing with Windows Explorer, but also with the Details setting. I like to view my folders with the Details option checked under the View settings, so I can see all the file details. Once you set that option for a specific folder, it stays that way for that single folder, but only for that folder, there is no way to set it to the details setting as default for ALL folders. Is there anyways I can do that so I can stop getting annoyed and crap MS?

does all folders for me, but you could try the 'Like Current Folder" button, not sure if it would work or not

There's also an option somewhere in there that has the folder save its view when you close it - maybe it's unchecked...

I don't know if it is the same with XP, but it took me a while to sort out on 2000 as well. There, I set up a folder how I wanted it, then tools->folder options->view has a button on it saying something like "set all folders to be like this one".

I've got IE6 on XP Pro (not upgrade) and the status bar is always on in IE, so its at least possible.
