I'm really surprised by the overwhelming popularity of Coke. I had the idea that most programmers drank Mt. Dew. Just a stereotype, I guess.

I drink Coke wiht most meals and right now my favorite drink at home is fruit juice mixed with club soda. The only reason I didn't choose coffee is because I only drink in the morning/ early afternoon.
I do drink a lot of water too- sometimes 8+ glasses in addition to all the coke, coffee, tea and juice. It just isn't my "favorite"
I copied it from the last program in which I passed a parameter, which would have been pre-1989 I guess. - esbo

Tiny bits of metal are much less harmful than ions anyways.

If you live in an area where there are lead pipes and the water is acidic (soft water), then you may want to check the lead-content in your taps. Using a carbon filter would possibly help a bit (just make sure that it is replaced according to the manufacturers instructions), but other than that, you need a HMA filter, like this: http://www.osmotics.co.uk/pentek-cbr...ter-p-192.html

Mt. Dew, yuk. I'm surprised Coke is beating Pepsi by so much!
They're exactly the same, except Pepsi is a tiny bit better.

My humble opinion is that, compared to Coke, Pepsi has %70 fizz, and %70 sweetness.

Some people commonly refer to Pepsi as watered-down Coke.

    Pepsi = Coke + water

And I too thought Mt Dew was the programmer's choice of soda. Myth busted!

Looks like Fanta is making a late surge.

That's probably why I like Pepsi better. Coke is too sweet.

But they are about the same price, and you can add water to Coke yourself and make more Pepsi...

Actually, my best friend used to mix soft drinks with me. Pepsi and coke together really balance out nicely, sprite and coke are a fun combo, too.

    For me:

    soda: Fanta(raspberry)
    beverage: water

I had to combine some options, because the poll only allows a maximum of 15.

EDIT: Soda should also have been an option for beverage.
ewwwww. Who says soda? Everybody around here says pop. Anyways, tea all the way.
