    Free Book Suggestions!

    Hello,
I was recently given 200 dollars to buy any books that I want. I'm finally picking up a real copy of pertzolds win book and richters mfc book. Any suggestions for top books that have made a huge difference in your career or understanding of programming? Any suggestions for what else I should get? Not looking for beginning books but hopefully more advanced books to really broaden my knowledge.

Let your suggestions rip if you have a sec

    thanks.

What sorts of topics are you looking for? There are stickies in some of the forums for book recommendations.

There are suggested book threads on the forums....
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Mostly win programming atm, but general code design books are good too I suppose. I heard the "x" ways to improve your c++ series was good? Idk I was just asking for personal opinions. "What has helped you in your career".

See post #3 in the sticky on the C++ board for details. C++ Coding Standards, Design Patterns, and The C++ Programming Language were probably the three most helpful of those listed.
