Can someone fill me in on what C# is? Why and How did who make it when?

Microsoft's Java/C++/VB combo language. I like it, personally.

Hey i just have a questionfor ya- i'm a pretty experience programmer with VB and C and C++ but i've never really seen any C#, do you think it is more useful than c or C++ or VB by themselves are?, cause if so maybe i will pick up a book and learn the syntax. -thanx

From what I'm told, C# is designed for a .NET environment. C++ can do this as well. It's just that C# was made specifically for .NET, and C++ is multipurpose. It can do anything, just not as well. If you think you're skilled enough in C++ to learn about using it under a NET environment, don't bother with #, and just stick with ++. That's what I'm doing.
