Ok heres the deal, i like mozilla as my default browser. My dad is a diehard IE fan. So, I need to find the registry setting that changes the default browser per user. (yeah i know about program access and defaults and all that happy crap, but that's system wide, i need per user).
I've been looking and looking but i can't find it by either searching the registry itself or google. Any help at all would be great, thanks.

Not the answer to your question-but I am currently trialling Mozilla-doesnt seem too bad, and even I will admit it is a bit quicker than IE!

One thing-where the heck has the click noise gone? When I click a link there is no sound. I liked that click. Is it an option or something?

you're right...hmm...not sure
I seem to remember it being in IE as well. I think it's an xp sound scheme deal.

My dad is becoming a dinosaur quickly, he tried to convince me that mozilla (firebird port) was transferring all data through their server and filtering stuff out. He was like "well how do they block images and popups? they have to pass it through their own server. Plus it takes extra time to filter that stuff" funny, i thought if it iddn't have to d/l an image or run the script for a popup that would SAVE time...oh well, guess you can't teach an old dog. What really made me mad is that he wouldn't listen to a word i said. For instance, he tried convincing me he found the "secret" to it, when he went to msn (his homepage) it said transferring from akagami.net/... sometimes. Msn hosts images there, he wouldn't believe me when i told him that, i had to dig through the page source to show him, then i had to go through the mozilla source to show him it wasn't redirecting crap. Damn....

Anyway you can all see why it's important for me to be able to do this, so i hope someone can figure this out. Im going to pour over my registry book more tonight if i get a chance.

Opera + mouses gestures > mozilla. Now, if only they'd fix all those crashes.
