In windows 98, I use the find to find the servers I want on the network...
did u enable file and print sharing?
i tried "find" it sometimes says cant be accessed and sometimes cant find it. (desktop, win98)
and yes its on shared files and printer
is there anything else i could do?
i can find my win98 on my laptop but i can't access it
make sure your on client for microsoft blah.
also when u set the ips set the "general" tab to obtain auto and then under alternative put the ip.
i'm under meds, srry if unclear.
ok i got my two computers to reconize each other but i cant access any of the shared files and the printer from my laptop when i try to connect with the other computer i get the message that i might not have permission to use the network resources on that computers and that the network path was not foung.
what should i do now? please help and thank you for you time.

it sounds like either a ip or protocol error since u said u have f&p sharing on. What ip are you using on the 98 machine? and what protocals are listed (ie tcp/ip, netboui)
