reved up

i have an athlon cpu. 33 gigs ,350 mhz i reved it up to 400 and even 414 but it won't go up anymore why is this so?

How are you overclocking it? Front side bus? CPU Multiplier? Either way you have to provide more power to the CPU the higher you overclock. If you're raising the FSB you can run into a wall with other components, such as RAM.
