I too vouch for Slack...
It would have made more sence to just put linux as an option... it is it's own platform.
Redhat, Mandrake, Slackware, Gentoo, whatever distro - they are not different platforms, just different distrobutions of Linux.

gooooooooo slack
Slackware's the best! :D Actually, I would have chosen RedHat or Mandrake but their downloads are too big and I only have 10 1.44 Meg floppies. So I opted for a Slackware variant instead and I have been stuck with it ever since :D

How could you forget slackware, it is the only viable linux distro out there, and they are the only ones that are not in the distro buisness for the money. Yes I do agree that the others provide greate products, though they are in the buisness for the money, nothing else.
Anyway Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows 98 are all GUIs for the DOS operating system. This would have provided you with a lot more options to place slackware in there repetadly.
GOOOO SLACKWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For doing technical projects I like the Unix variants and OS-9000, currently I'm working for a few years with this OS, very nice and very stable.
I've tried FreeBSD too. :D The catch is it is too large to download.

I heard that Linus Trovald uses SuSE and Redhat.
Does he use Slackware too?
