Hi. I am a newbie in UNIX, I have some experience in C programming and I am considering to buy "Design of the UNIX OS" by Maurice J. Bach. What do you guys think of that book?
Are there any other books you would suggest. I am most interested in UNIX arquitecture, design. I want to know how the OS is build up, how things work. I already have enough books on shell commands and administration.
Thanks in advance !

It's old but it's a classic.

Understanding the Unix Linux Kernel and Linux Device Drivers will both help you out here. Can't think of the authors' names, but they're both published by O'Reilly.

Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment by Richard Stevens. That is the ONLY book you'll ever need on basic Unix Systems Programming.
