This is much better than GNOME so far anyway. The textsize is nice and big. Awesome Console Window. So many menu options. Holly Jesus, I am liking this. I don't want to go to school tomorrow!

I use kde as my graphical interface as well, and I do enjoy it more than Gnome. I love the single clicking on icons, it makes it seem more non-windows like.

You can make Gnome use single-click icons and KDE can use double-click icons... you can customize just about everything in them both.
KDE is my choice too :D I don't really like that Gnome is GTK based. Qt (KDE's widget toolkit) has a much nicer look.

Since I don't know too much about Linux yet, are you saying that GNOME is constructed with C and KDE is C++ based.
XWindows has confused me. Is the GNOME API a C function library?

KDE is my choice of GUI to. I think it looks more professional then gnome. Gnome have kind of a toyish look to it. I also starting to like K develop/GCC more and more. Alot more standard compliant then VS 6.0

KDE rocks, I hate Gnome, in a previous thread I said I didn't install Gnome, which I haven't because Ive used it and feels really crap to use. If you have Gnome installed you can access most of the Gnome programs through KDE. In your KDE menu the should be a folder called Gnome, where you can access the Gnome programs.

I really like Window Maker - very simple wm. I never use icons, so I chose not to use the dock and clip. That gives you a nice, clear look of your desktop, and when you need to run a program, you summon a menu that's otherwise invisible.
I don't like KDE (equipping flamesuit), I find it over-stylish.
I don't like GNOME, it's ugly in an advanced sort of way, although it's nice that you can choose window managers.

I only use KDE because it was smaller than GNOME in filesize. Window managers don't really matter too much to me.

I use Gnome but I never use the Gnome desktop. All the programs that I need are in the panel and behing one click. I wouldn't care if Gnome hadn't no icons on the desktop.
