    What's this 'OT' thing?

    Hello,

    I'm asking because I'm curious, http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showgroups.php
You'll see there is a 'OT' group, what is it? More importantly why is my name there? You'll probably notice your name there too! It seems to be the 'popular' people, I thought it was based on activity, but it seems there are a few people on there who haven't logged in at all this year... so I really have no idea what it is?

My research has led me to believe, OT = Original Topic, or conversely, Off Topic.

    Thanks!

Clearly, OT means OpenTransport. I have no idea where they are openly transporting you to, though.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

Yes, clearly :\ -- I don't want to be transported away, I like it here

Eh, when in doubt, ask Google. Google thinks the best choice for "OT" is Occupational Therapy.

Which is pretty accurate, actually ...

Don't you know the rules about OT?

You'll never get the GovtCheeze doll if you don't follow ALL the rules.

    1. Never mention that which shall not be mentioned.

Dang, now we have to erase all your posts and you.....hold still now!

It's less of a question on what it is. More of what it can be. Possibilities are endless.

Only thing OT ever means to me is over time. And since most of my fav teams are terrible they still cannot win in OT, sometimes in double OT.

Oh, no. You mean it could mean that everyone on that list must post overtime?
