Ikariam - MMO browser based Civ game

    http://www.ikariam.org

A rather fun game that is based in Greek times and you build your research, economy and eventually your war forces. I am on Zeta server as Wraithan, at on the island Wheteios[26:38]. I am still just starting out but think it would be fun if some of us cboards played together, or maybe some of you are already playing.

Will take a better look tomorrow. Seems like a good stress reliever, from the little I saw. Reminds me a little of a game I used to play a good years back; Puzzle Pirates.

Well, I'm having heaps of fun with it.
A little over a week after starting I'm already starting to build my 2nd colony (1 city + 2 colonies), have joined an alliance and have scolded a few neighbors and helped a few others.

It's a lightweight game that doesn't take much of my time. It's well conceived in this regard. I guess there is an increase in management duties with each colony. But there is no need to keep the browser window opened. Many things are only a few clicks away and will take a few hours to complete. So you can play the game by just quick visits to the website.

I doubt the game value after a while. I suspect it can lose interest pretty quickly. But its still beta and they seem to have many things on the todo list that may increase the interest.
