    The English and Alcohol

Why is it we need to drink so much?
I just got home from a football match(soccer for you Americans) and I'm sittin here to scared to lie down and close my eyes in case I throw up.
All I drunk is 8 pints and on the way home 1 litre of vodka.
    Is this to much???
Do we English drink to much, and why do I feel proud of this??

Ha, you have to forgive me, I'm drunk. But I never feel as good sober as I do drunk. I only drink the same as my friends but I'm worried it's to much.
I'm gonna carry on though as I enjoy it.

    Have fun

I'm in the midle of my exams right now, so not a good idea to drink. But when they are finished, I'll end up sleeping under a bridge or something. Not able to feel the cold and the rain. And no memory what so ever, the day after.
Aaaaah, I have a happy future.

Well after passing out in the middle of a backyard last summer and having my cousin who was trying to get me up fall sleep in front of me and then having our grandparents bringing us into the house. All this because of alcohol I am trying to cut it out some.

Actually we dont drink warm beer! I know we did a few centuries ago, but not any more. Unless its a Real Ale. Then it comes lightly chilled, but not what you'd call cold. Its something to do with the taste of the real ale.... if it were cold it wouldn't taste right.

Where as all these other bees (Guiness, Carlsgerg, Mabey even Bud!) all come off the tap very cold! with a fake head on it!

I guess its the German in us brits...... we like our real beers from the tap! (tep = pump at the bar)

I have lived in England, I love "real ale", much more character than the bland, freezing cold, fizzy yellow stuff that passes for beer in Denmark, and very many other places around the world. I'm glad there are a few "microbreweries" around here now.

Warm beer is so incredibly disguisting I've only drank it once and that was enough to scare me away from it once and for all. Now I make sure every bottle is nicely refrigerated
