it would benefit you to not make IT field your goal, but a stepping stone to a goal.

i've seen the DBA's get the highest salaries.

in my opinion, best doesn't translate to salary though, i feel a lot more pleasure from solving problems with software and developing applications to make things more efficient/better in any way i can.

salaries for business applications programmer aren't too bad, in cities it's pretty freaking good actually.

leaves me with plenty of time to study other stuff too. i think business applications are about the simplest you can write professionally speaking,

it's all about services/databases and all the combinations of ways to make those things talk over a network to complete some task. with a language like c# your job can be a pleasure in that field if you enjoy problem solving and such.

i'll take that over a dba, but either way, you can do alright with either. but like i said, aim higher. IT is too easy. it will get boring.

Higher as in how......and to do these jobs would I need a Bachelors in Computer Science if not higher?......Also what jobs could you get as a computer/electrical engineer. Because im in the mix cause I think computer science would be too hard for me yet I know somewhat of how to build a computer which is why computer engineer comes in.
