I'm sorry to tell you, but a LONG LONG thing came from the last thread I put like this, evtually the moderators stepped in and clarified.

The title "General Discussions" is meant to encourage discussion, not recruiting. The reason recruiting posts (and the various vacuous posts) are deleted is because they are not conducive to discussion but merely to the board becoming a wasteland of pointless "Come see my site!" links.

The occassional link regarding another site by a member of the community is acceptable, but it is not a board where anyone can post anything and expect it to remain in place.

I don't see a reason why signatures are problematic; it's only that the message text should generally contain something of substance if only to prevent the board from being clogged with useless posts.
