The truth though is that most people won't be buying their PS3 until they can get a mod next corner.

My PS2 Messiah mod, slim illuminated clear case and an HD Combo Case Expansion is still going to take some time to be replaced. The chip alone cost me a 5 month waiting,... not to mention the price.

I've seen people with modded PS2s to play burned games and stuff, but I have never seen anyone who actually modded the case of theirs.

Oh I didn't mine, mind you. I got someone close by who could set me a Messiah. Modding is not forbidden in Portugal. Of course, playing copies of games I don't own, is. However I cannot honestly say all my use of this PS2 has been legal.

But I do buy my share of PS2 games and have been generally a nice Sony customer. I'm just not perfect.

(You are on! I'll bring the beer and drop by the pizza store on my way)

OK. Cab fare from NYC to my place should run something like....

OK I broke the cab calculator I found. It's about a 10-11 hour drive, I'd wager. Should only put you back a couple grand.

    edit: here you go

We europeans are renowned for our lack of scale. If we were to invade USA one day, we would think we made it after 1 day of march.

Yeah, but you think I'm going to deal with the holiday traffic around Metro to pick up some random Portuguese dude? Hell no.

I love the Wii. It is so much fun.

Wii's fun factor is a gimmick. There are only so many games you can shake a stick at (literally) and eventually, I think all their ideas will run dry and people will realize how much worse its graphics are.
Or maybe Nintendo just decided to exploit the fact that graphics aren't everything in a game? Maybe the general populace will start to realize this fact. I personally like the graphics in the Wii. I find no problems with it at all.

The Wii is incredibly fun to play. I have found no problems with it at all. It is economically priced as well. The Playstation 3 is overdone. I honestly dont care to use my game console to watch movies, play mp3s, store files, surf the internet, and do other things. I want my game console to let me play fun games and that is it. If I want to do other things I will buy a regular computer, and also a DVD player.

    Down with playstation.

    Go Nintendo.

Price of Wii + Blu-Ray Player > Price of PS3

... you're not getting the idea of a gimmick. Yes it's fun... until it runs dry. It's like those video games in the arcade where you can duck and dodge and stuff... it's really fun the first few times and then it gets old. ... and I'm sick of this "graphics aren't everything" crap. No one said they were everything, but they are something. Both Playstation and PS2 has a greater library of fun games than any Nintendo console had since the Super NES. Just because it does one thing right (like graphics or a nice car) doesn't mean it's compensating for a lack of something else (like a small peni... err, I mean fun factor). You don't know and neither do the girls at the bars! *runs away crying*

Everything dies, you know. And they usually do because the competition came up with something new and better. Nintendo died before. It can die again
