I know three of people from university, but I knew them before I joined here, so I guess that doesn't count. Would I ... probably not. It may be worth meeting someone just to sock them in the jaw though

Edit: Three people from university on these forums, not just three people in total

Well there is this one guy who's making an open source single-player Rogue-like game with a MUD combat system and feeling who claims that a progress log and code will soon be on a website near you ... I reckon a good punch up would speed up his process

To be trully honest to my first post there's a few people I would like to meet. Mainly out of curiosity... (aka to know if they are as candid as they look in here, or as ..........y) edit: wow... i cussed and the board didn't like it

But I just don't see the point past that really. Besides at the end of the day all I really want is to meet shallow ungeeky unnerd people that remind me the world is in fact a lot bigger than my office.

    edit:
    > I reckon a good punch up would speed up his process

    You couldn't be more right

Well a few people got me curious.

Prelude is at the top of the list. I say that's all show to hide a cute, sensitive, unsecure, beautiful person. Something to do with those complex defensive mechanism that you read on cheap psychology articles. Yeah... let me say that again... cute, sensitive, unsecure, beautiful person. It's not a war challenge, really. It's just experience.

Bubba too. I developed this imagery of him as being a cool guy. Helpful, but has no patience for idiotic questions. I also think of him as being fat. I don't know why. Because of the name, I guess. Which is fine by me, mind you! Not only I'm one of those that have Oprah on his hit list as one of the most irritating people in the world, but also my wife is twice my size and that never bothered me. [/disclaimer]... not that i mean to compare bubba to my wife [/disclaimer2]

Then there's Ethic... the shallow, unsympathetic annoying brat. But I think not only he is not that young, but also not that shallow. He just gets the giggles and we don't even have a clue.

CornedBee and Magus. Magus is not around much anymore. He used to be more active some years ago. But both always inspired me for their factual, to-the-point, approach to writing. Not to mention their helpfulness (but here I have to include everyone mind you). I always admire people that dont spend too much time in the General forum. CornedBee I see as a middle age man, I think he lies about the university

Then there's Maxorator... I don't think he's 14, Period. He can show me his ID card and I'll call him a liar too. That's it. I admire his apparent maturity. Even if not always we have shared the same opinions, I grown to respect this kid... adult... whatever.

These are the people that really got me curious. A few others too, but not that much that would warrant me wanting to satisfy that curiosity

Well mario, after reading that you shuold invite everybody on that list to your place and hold a formal gathering. It would be nice for them to meet the real you too.

Ie: informative, easy going and well spoken. ( Not that I know any peronal qualitys about you, I have read many of your threads and you seem to be a well eduacated chap who knows what he is talking about. ) But that is just a guess. I don't know know anyone on here personally, as I stated when I started this thread, but its nice to know there are no wingers on this community.

I used to be on another board, ( forgot the name ) it was rubbish anyway. Im gald I joined here, many newbies feel more welcomed when the answer(s) they seek are to the point and not drawn out.

I went to college with ober and I've spoken to -KEN- on the phone a few times, usually while intoxicated. Ken Fitlike sent me money when I went to Vegas last year, too

Oh! I do have my share of skeletons too.
For one I can confirm, for anyone who may have been wondering all this time, I'm not really a girl, my real name is not wolfchwithz, I don't have a tattoo on my arm celebrating an old teenage girlfriend, and I never posted on this forums.

    That's a skeleton?

Guys, I got a skeleton in the closet, too... I'm also not a girl.

I thought you were going to tell us about the time you murdered your first family, grew a beard, and started calling yourself Sven.
