Seriously, I think people are confusing "games I don't like" or "games I played way after they were released so I entirely missed the point" with "worst games ever". A lot of the games that have been listed are objectively bad, but some of these just show that a lot of people here don't know anything about games or their history.

Worst game ever? In my view nothing stands out more than theme hospital. While theme park was good and had some really fun features, Bullfrog development went down hill with theme hospital. It is no wonder nobody hears of them anymore

I remember there was some game I saw where you are fighting junkyard mechanizations. The website was boasting how interactive and great the game was but it was a pile of crap. They lacked the shame to keep a video of the gameplay off of the website.
Well, System Shock is one of my favourite. Especially the second one. It got one of the most twisted plot in a game ever IMHO. And a superb sound and voice over not even Resident Evil or Silent Hill can match.
