German drinking.... what a place!
I heard from some of the juniors during band period today that in Germany the kids can walk over to a Beer garten between classes and drink whatever the hell they want...they can even get drunk during school. I was wondering if this is actually truth or just some semi-elaborate lie...

That really depends how you see it.
In Germany, drinking age for Beer is 16.
If you have time between lessons or courses, you can leave the school area and go whereever you want.
You are not allowed to bring alcohol into schools.
So yes, you can go to a Biergarten in between lessons.
You can get drunk if you like. If your teacher notices, he
might tell you to go home and write a letter to your parents.
If that happens more than once, I'm pretty sure they can
make you change schools... and if that happens often
enough, no school will take you.
So the truth is if you are 16, you can get drunk. But even then,
you have to face the consequences if someone notices.

Britain and Ireland are the same too. Mexico( one of the only non third world countries that are ridiculously poor) allows you to drink at like 13. Many african countries have legalized pot (or never illegallized it) But so is rape... No real law their anyway except anti pochers(sp?)
If you ever go to colombia, you can get ahold of Coke, and pot for near free prices.
