He says "No I don't have time, I really just need you to do it so I can pass, I'll buy you a beer or something." I asked again--he said no, so I wrote it. This was an intro to c++ class. So I used vector<>, for_each(), and std::copy with cout to write the contents of the vector to the console window. I figured the instructor would get the idea.
I heard later that the instructor wanted to meet with him about the code he turned in, and was only willing to give him credit if he could explain it line by line. Needless to say, he didn't have the meeting, and didn't pass the class.
The cool part was, after I finished it for him, but before he turned it in, he actually bought me a beer and thanked me for it.
