    >>how did you save lives? Were you a doctor?

Other possibilities include, but are not limited to: priest/imam/rabbi/minister/etc, veterinarian, volunteer at a crisis hotline, defense attorney specializing in capital punishment cases, etc.

Well as usual I'm late to the party.

    Why i like programming??

Well... "There are 10 kinds of ppl....." I belong to those that understand the language of binar... (not really) I like it because it's seems to be the last vestige of the creative in this manufactured world that we now live in. I like it because, like some of you, I like self inflicted pain/problems (though I hardly ever finish anything I do.. degree included). I like it because I can create and destroy then create again (and destroy).
Let's face it. What other field allows you to be a pioneer or invade another unrelated industry by tempting to make life easier?? Huh??

Because they do. What would be of yellow if everyone hated it.

Some people simply don't like programming. You don't need to learn it to know if you are going to like it or not. She prefers to spend her time outdoors scuba diving or doing her own work selling perfumes in a store. Do I agree with her? Absolutely!

At the end of the day, her eyes are whiter, her life is more exciting, she meets a lot more people, she exercises her speech more, she experiences more life than I do on the other side of this pathetic screen typing at a silly keyboard.

wen i woz about 8 i found one of those programmable calculators and learned to program that, then when i was about 10 i learned HTML and a tiny bit of C and now i am 13 and have learned a few other languages and still remember most of what i learned...
how to program is almost all i CAN remember
i like programming because its challenging and because of the 'look what i made' feeling
Linux is the best OS for programming i rekon.. you can never find a good open source C compiler for windoze!

That's sad. Programming is not the only thing in the world.

I feel that I need to use my sense of logic somewhere. Programming is perfect for that.

It's even more depressing to see 13 year olds obsessed with drugs. Edit: actually, it really isn't. Nerdy kids can be so extremely annoying that they seem to just be begging to get beaten. I seriously have never heard such absolute bull........ when it comes to them talking about programming. Generally when people talk about programming they say the stupidest things without restraint. The same can be said about the drugged up kids I suppose. All they talk about is the last time they were loading a bowl or tagging some stupid ........ or complaining about their parents. 13 year olds should just be mandated to line up to be ..........-slapped to make them think about things. Middle school is such a terrible establishment.
